With more than 20 years’ experience in the vocational education and training sector, Tim Campbell is passionate about developing skills and opportunities for students to realise their full potential within the community.
Tim began his career in the chemical manufacturing industry in England and immigrated to Australia in 2007. Tim relocated to western Queensland working at Mount Isa Institute of TAFE and also had 2 years as General Manager of a leading Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander training and construction organisation. He has since settled in Cairns and became General Manager for the TAFE Queensland North region in 2019.
Tim has a Masters degree in Business Administration - Human Resources major from James Cook University and places strong emphasis on leadership and professional development of his staff.
Under Tim’s leadership, TAFE Queensland has successfully negotiated a significant international maritime training contract with the Commonwealth government, which will bring major long term economic benefits to the Cairns community and regional areas.
