Moving to Cairns 6 years ago, from my hometown of Melbourne, I embedded myself quickly into the business, and hospitality industry in Cairns.
Having 15 years of Marketing and Communications experience, across major international and national brands such as NAB, AAMI, BP and Priceline. Working in advertising gave me a foundation for strategic thinking, quick response, and the importance of leadership and creativity combined. Working Advertising Agencies including Ogilvy and Clemenger BBDO, I decided to take the step to the client side, starting in the preopening team from Crystalbrook Riley.
As an integral Executive Team Member of Crystalbrook Collection for the past 5 years, I lead the strategic communications for all three properties in Cairns along with the 9 restaurants and bars and 2 day spas.
I am keen and key member in the tourism industry, and I am extremely passionate about tourism as a driver for many industries here in Cairns.
In 2023 my husband and I opened a café in Redlynch, Folly. Having first hand experience in big, and small business in Cairns across tourism and hospitality puts me in a good position to bring different perspective to the board, and to the wider Chamber of Commerce community.
I am very passionate about driving change and entrepreneurship across our region. My husband grew up in Cairns, and I became very found of the beautiful region. Together with our two young children, we can see the continued growth and excitement for the region.
