The recently re-invigorated Cairns Young Chamber (CYC) has appointed its new Committee which will be responsible for building the CYC into the leadership development fabric of this region for our next generation.
Committee members were selected through a competitive Expression of Interest process which saw an unprecedented response from young professionals and business people from all industries and sectors across Cairns offering to bring their skills and passion to the CYC table.
Appointments are:
Rhiannon Simcocks, Kleinhardt – Chair;
Matthew Tickner, Cardno – Deputy Chair;
Ashleigh Harrison, Maurice & Blackburn – Secretary;
Jeaninne Kidd, Westpac – Treasurer;
Morganne Baldwin, Elite Real Estate Services – Committee Member;
Samuel Batt, The Office of the Hon Warren Entsch – Committee Member;
Stephanie Thomas, TAFE North – Committee Member; and
Tanja Vukelic, Cairns Chamber of Commerce – Committee Member.
The Committee will breathe a renewed focus into the CYC and will lead CYC into a new era of refreshed networking events, learning opportunities, initiatives focused on making a contribution to the leadership of the region and connecting our members with our current regional leaders to inspire and encourage an ongoing dialogue.

CYC will hold a ‘meet your Committee’ networking event on Friday 22nd June and encourage all our young professionals, business people, innovators, influencers, movers, shakers and doers to come along and let us know what you’d like to see the CYC facilitating in the short term and in years to come.
