The Cairns Chamber of Commerce have partnered with Tradelinked Cairns & PNG to offer a second business delegation to PNG for 2016. This delegation will visit Port Moresby and Bougainville from Tuesday 18 October to Sunday 23 October 2016. 

The intent of the delegation is to continue developing mutually beneficial business relationships between Cairns and PNG as well as introducing delegates to the potential of Bougainville as a future market opportunity. 

Delegation members will have the opportunity to attend the Tradelinked Cairns and PNG business networking event on the first evening in Port Moresby.  This monthly event attracts around 100 local businesses and will be an excellent networking opportunity.

During the five days delegation members will experience the following activities and more.......

• Business-to-opportunity matching to maximise each delegate’s investment through relationship with existing and leading organisations in PNG;
• Briefings on key industry sectors by Government Departmental Heads;
• Business networking events;
• Functions/meetings with key business people from Port Moresby and Bougainville;
• Functions/meetings with business associations from Port Moresby; Buka and Arawa in Bougainville;
• Proposed industry visits in Bougainville in key sectors such as agriculture; exporters/importers and tourism;
• VIP dinner in Port Moresby at end of delegation.

All businesses are invited to attend this delegation; however specific opportunities have been identified in the following sectors:

• Agribusiness industry development (ie: advisory services, animal health, nutrition & reproduction, cropping, disease management, fishing, beef cattle, food processing, horticulture and dairy);
