The Cairns Chamber of Commerce together with Tourism Tropical North Queensland (TTNQ) and Advance Cairns invite you to hear from candidates first hand about the policies and commitments each party proposes as part of their election campaign at our 2017 State Election Debate luncheon.

 
CANDITATES

 

LNP Candidate for Barron River, Michael Trout

Michael has over twenty years experience in small business and tourism. He previously served as as Queensland State Parliament Member for Barron River(2012-2015).

Current Incumbent ALP Candidate for Barron River, Craig Crawford

In Parliament Craig has previously served on the Finance and Administration committee and currently is serving on both the Infrastructure, Planning and Natural Resources and Ethics committees.

Michael serves as the Chair of Access Community Housing . He has also served as a past Director of Tourism & Events Queensland, and an elected member of Tourism Tropical North Queensland and Port Douglas Daintree Tourism.

The Hon. Curtis Pitt is Queensland’s Treasurer, Minister for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships and Minister for Sport and represents the electorate for Mulgrave. He has previously served as Minister for Employment and Industrial Relations.
