Samuel Batt

Samuel Batt is a talented all-rounder with a background in marketing, digital media design and information technology.
At present, Samuel works for Federal Member for Leichhardt Warren Entsch MP; as a senior member of his staff.
Some of Samuel’s more recent achievements include:
- Semi Finalist in the Queensland Young Achiever Awards (Regional Achiever Award) in 2018
- Selected as Queensland Youth Parliament’s Member for Cairns and Chief Opposition Whip in 2017
- Invited to take part in a JCU Emerging Designers Panel where he presented a talk on regionalism in 2016
- Selected as a Cairns Young Chamber of Commerce Emerging Leader in 2015, and
- Became a home owner at the age of 21.
As a Cairns local, Samuel has experienced firsthand the ebbs and flows of regional life and he has a keen interest in ensuring that our local young talent not only have the ability but also the inclination to live, work and study locally. Samuel wants to help ensure that the FNQ community cultivates an environment where youth are actively engaged and pushed to be the best versions of themselves.
