I’ve been involved with the Cairns Young Chamber (CYC) for three years in various capacities but most recently in assisting with our re-invigoration of CYC.
My motivation is to see CYC being the platform and launch pad for our regions young professionals, leaders, business owners, movers, shakers and doers! To bring this demographic together and be a resource in terms of learning, development, career progression and connections to our current leaders - formal and informal. Our generation also feel a strong social responsibility – to pay it forward – to join forces and be able to make a considered and valued contribution to improving our region and the lives of its people – this is an undeniable personal responsibility I feel and that I believe CYC can play a strong role in.
Outside of CYC I work as a business consultant with local firm, Kleinhardt Business Consultants. I also work with Regional Development Australia (RDA) and sit as a Management Committee member for the Cairns Historical Society & Museum as well as a Committee Member for North Queensland’s Young Australian Tourism & Export Council branch.
In my spare time I’m a wedding photographer and my Partner and I are owner/building our dream home on the Whitfield ranges.
