My name is Beth and I grew up on the Atherton Tablelands, on a dairy farm near
Millaa Millaa called Mungalli Creek. Since then I have lived all over the world in
places like Finland, England, Canberra and until recently I called Brisbane home. I
love meeting new people, exploring new places and throwing myself into the
unknown.
In 2018 I took part on the Emerging leaders programme and for the first time I felt
challenged in a whole new way. The course inspired me to follow a path of
personal and professional development that I continue to follow. When a position
on the CYC opened up, I jumped at the chance to join. I knew what this committee
had to offer the local community and I wanted to be a part of it. Growing this
region and making opportunities for the young entrepreneurs of this area excites
me and I can’t wait to see what we can achieve together.
Outside of my role with the CYC and Mungalli Creek Dairy, I love cooking,
writing, spending time with my family and hiking. There is so much of the area I
have yet to explore and I can’t wait to unearth the platitude of hidden gem’s spread
throughout our region.
