Cairns Chamber of Commerce Migration Manager Geoff Heath invites employers to a free, face-to-face information session on the Far North Queensland Designated Area Migration Agreement, otherwise known as the FNQ DAMA.

The FNQ DAMA is a skilled migration program that is tailored to the needs of the Far North Queensland region. The FNQ DAMA differs in many ways from standard skilled migration pathways, providing more flexibility and certainty for both employers and workers.

For over three years, the FNQ DAMA has been assisting employers access overseas workers and address critical skill shortages, where positions cannot be filled from the Australian labour market. Through various concessions, this program provides access to a greater pool of overseas workers than standard skilled migration programs.

In this information session, Geoff will:

  • De-mystify the FNQ DAMA and unpack how it can work for your business
  • Discuss the Occupations and Concessions List
  • Explain how to apply for a Request for Endorsement, including the steps you need to take and information you need to provide
