OUTLINE OF EVENTS
Chamber Lunch
Held on the 4th Tuesday of each month from February to November annually, the Chamber Lunch is an informative event to update members on the Chamber's and regional activities.
The event is an excellent opportunity to catch up with business associates and keep informed on developments in the region.
Our lunch event always has a guest speaker and presentation, and we utilise this event as a platform to release new information of concern to businesses in the region.
Young Chamber Events
The Chamber has 3-4 Young Chamber events a year. These include networking and professional events. Regular events include our unique Business Speed Dating & Barefoot Bowls.
VISIT THE YOUNG CHAMBER WEB PAGE FOR MORE INFORMATION.
Special Luncheons/Breakfasts
Special luncheons are held at different times throughout the year, particularly if important information needs to be conveyed to members.
Information Sessions - ACCC
The ACCC promotes competition and fair trade in the market place to benefit consumers, business and the community. Its primary responsibility is to ensure that individuals and businesses comply with the Commonwealth competition, fair trading and consumer protection laws. They provide education and information to assist with this process through workshops and information sessions for Chamber members.
Annual Golf Day
The Cairns Chamber of Commerce Annual Golf Day is a fun-filled day that provides exceptional exposure to sponsors. Members are encouraged to utilise this opportunity to promote their business to attendees through sponsorship.
Regional Business Tours
The Cairns Chamber of Commerce conducts regular Regional Business Tours to a selection of regional locations, generally in May and/or September.
The aim of the Chamber’s Regional Business Tour is to assist local businesses to secure linkages in remote areas, generating trade between Cairns and regional centres. Due to the remoteness of the locations, there are always numerous untapped markets and opportunities for improving the delivery of services.
