As an industry, tourism benefits our community through direct economic input, as well as through flow-on benefits such as expanding employment opportunities, enhancing lifestyle and community services, and other positive social health outcomes. The CBLA believes that the tourism sector in this region versus other tourism centres, is unique and requires strong, sustainable, long-term economic support and investment in order to remain competitive, diversify for future stability, and secure long term growth opportunities.
