Regulatory efficiency is a critical priority for Queensland businesses that are currently disadvantaged by a large volume of red tape and regulatory churn. Red tape and regulatory burden impedes competition, innovation and productivity, and therefore business' ability to grow. The cost and burden of compliance has a ripple effect through our economy and our community, through discouraging investment, increasing prices, and inhibiting employment. The CBLA believes Red Tape reduction needs to be a priority for all governments.
